Blausee (Blue lake)

The cows don’t care, but we are interested in the “blue thing” in the background.
To this blue jewel we are now descending.
The Blausee in the Kander valley was formed after a rockslide some 15000 years ago.
The lake is being fed by subterranean springs, which is why he is so clear.
Just relax and enjoy!
The clean water absorbs longwave (red) light more than shortwave (blue) light and that is the reason why it is so blue.
3 different kinds of trout are being put into the lake every year and fed throughout the summer.
Petrified trees
The restaurant serves tasty trout from the nearby fish breeding farm.
View towards the Zallershorn and to the right in the background the Doldenhorn
